Wd drivers for windows 7 my book
When I try to install Windows 7 using bootcamp, the setup complains of missing drivers. Your website[1] seems to have drivers in. I tried uncompressing the msi and adding it to the usb along with the rest of the bottcamp driver, but that didnt help. I have never tried this since it is not supported. I just want to clear this up as soon as possible because once I have confirmed my laptop has been backed up inc. The drivers can be found here.
Try using Microsoft SyncToy downloaded from here. You can download it from here. It is now available on Windows automatic update. Well my WD passport is working but I still get the message that my File History Drive has been disconnected for too long.
Thank you for your reply. How do I know that date of the back up? The online tech remote support did a back up yesterday after he downloaded the compatible win 10 version and the files backed up mirror those on my PC but there's no date that I can see?
Also in settings on Win 10 and I do 'back up now' nothing seems to happen. The date stills says Sept and immediately the 'reconnect your drive' error message comes up. The computer does not detect it at all, despite the fact that it is switched on and running whirring sound and light is on.
I have three other hard drives that all function fine, including a newer WD that I purchased to replace the MyBook. I know that the WD is functional, because it was running without any issues on my old PC. That is when I discovered that the new PC would not detect it.
It's like the computer is just not 'seeing' it. I spent a lot of time researching on the forums and Internet, but most everyone seems to be having problems with getting it to read while it is showing somewhere on the computer.
