That is not correct. You might make sure to close all running programs, in case an open file is confusing it.

I could not find any log in the Event Viewer. I found a "bootex. Below is the content as an example, however, I haven't found anything that goes into anymore detail than this: Checking file system on C: The type of the file system is NTFS.
